  • SNMPv1 to SNMPv3 transition
  • IPv4 and IPv6
  • Riverbed App Expert
  • Aruba Airwave Management Platform
  • Aruba Clearpass Policy Manager
  • VPN

  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, spanning-tree, subnetting, routing, access control lists, wireless, vpn, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and firewall operations.
  • Experience in a multi-vendor environment, with the ability to transfer network configurations and concepts from one vendor to another.
  • Configuration of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and implementation of access control lists in different environments.
  • DMVPN and other data center-centric configuration experience.
  • Ability to communicate network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.
  • AS in an Engineering field or comparable experience.
  • Homeland Security Requirement -PIV authentication
  • Cisco ASA (adaptive security appliance)
  • Working knowledge of remote access for teleworking
  • ACS – radius authentication
  • Remote Access Points (RAPs)
  • Documentation skills and visio experience doing network diagramming
  • AnyConnect experience
  • PKI familiarity, certificate generation
  • Experience with Interfaces with ISE and Forescout
  • SQL skills
  • Perl or other scripting language knowledge
  • Ability to transfer knowledge into usable Knowledge Articles
  • Experience supporting, designing and integrating complex enterprise-level wireless networks
  • Strong technical project management, communication, and engineering skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity of fundamental computer, network, and trade theories, principles, and concepts
  • Familiarity with the Treasury and IRS network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, converged technologies and various network monitoring and management tools deployed
  • The ability to obtain IRS clearances, LAN accounts and badges
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Cisco Routers and Switches in a large Government organization

Certification requirement:

  • An Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher
  • An Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Voice certification or higher—or at least 3 years IRS experience as a L3 Network Administrator
  • An Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data certification or higher– or at least 3 years IRS experience as a L3 Network Administrator
  • An Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless certification or higher
  • ITIL v3 Certifications
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX) and/or Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX) certification
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
  • Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP)
  • Standard PC Software – Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
