Senior Technical Recruiter (US Federal)

Position Description:

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us grow our company. Senior Technical Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing, screening and shortlisting qualified candidates for various technical roles for projects and proposals. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our brand, reduce our time-to-hire, and ensure we attract the best professionals. Ultimately, you will build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for our Technical positions. You may occasionally also recruit for Project Managers and other non-technical overhead staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and post technical job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates on technical platforms, including crafting and sending personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze candidate abilities
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments, behavioral questions)
  • Keep candidates engaged during long clearance and proposal timelines
  • Temporarily support MBI Clearance Processing until a Security Manager is hired
  • Compose job offer letters
  • Propose salary offers, in conjunction with Project Managers and Company Management
  • Onboard new hires
  • Support proposals (sourcing candidates, format resume submissions)
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to forecast hiring needs
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work
  • Maintain Resource Database of candidates
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

  • Proven work experience (5-7 years) as a Technical Recruiter
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for IT roles
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of recruiting tools/software/platforms, MS Office, SharePoint
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and relevant legislation
  • 5+ years of Federal Recruiting experience with civilian agencies
  • Experienced with EEO and other applicable hiring laws/regulations

  • Experience with IRS MBI Clearance Process
  • Strong network of existing technical personnel
  • Ability to improve our Resource Database and candidate processes
  • Bachelors Degree or HR Certifications
