Did you know…
That we integrate CMMI Dev V2.0 Level 3 processes, tools, and techniques with innovative, cost-efficient, and secure solutions to address complex challenges? We earned our CMMI Dev V2.0 Level 3 Appraisal in June of 2022, which required strict adherence to CMMI standards.
CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model Integration, and it is a program that ensures companies are committed to the continuous improvement of their operational efficiency and performance. According to the CMMI Institutes website, CMMI standards were “originally created for the U.S. Department of Defense to assess the quality and capability of their software contractors”. Since its creation, the use of CMMI has expanded beyond software engineering and can be used by any organization trying to improve the results of their business.
The CMMI model has 5 levels of maturity including Initial, Managed, Defined, Quantitatively Managed, and Optimizing. These 5 levels denote the different capabilities each company has in terms of the effectiveness of their processes. Every company is in a different stage and therefore has different goals. A newer company may be working towards creating companywide standards, while an established company may be working to perfect their existing processes. There have been 4 versions of CMMI including 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 2.0. Version 2.0 was published in 2018, and the rigor for these appraisals increased significantly.
CMMI appraisals help organizations understand how well they integrate CMMI best practices, and it provides an assessment of their strengths and weaknesses. More specifically, appraisals assist companies in creating an improvement strategy, mitigating risk in business decisions, and building credibility with stakeholders. Our score of maturity level 3 means that we are proactive, rather than reactive, and have organization-wide standards that provide guidance across projects, programs, and portfolios.
At eTelligent Group, an example of an organization-wide standard that we abide by is our adherence to quality assurance (QA). QA is integrated into every aspect of our company to ensure that we are meeting our clients’ parameters and delivering reliable solutions. QA is an important feature of our business because we care about producing deliverables accurately the first time and being dependable to our clients.
Every day we continue to grow, and we are committed to providing optimal service to both our clients and employees. For more information about CMMI, please visit their website at https://cmmiinstitute.com/cmmi/intro.
